Kendo Competition and Sinsa event held in Pittsburgh, PA

The two days of Kendo event was held in the most busiest time of the year in the Pittsburgh where the NFL draft day in the weekend. The black kendo kensis are roaring, jumping and running on the bamboo floor at the Neighborhood Academy across from the NFL drafting held at the riverside arena. The city was waking up from the long slump and it has started from a baby kendo to high and senior level practitioners. Of course, there were no parking places in the downtown where near the NFL draft doing their serious jobs, due to people from all over the states do the their jobs to wake the city up as well.

About two hundred people attended this kendo event, and competed as a tournament on the second day. Noticeably, many young kendo enthusiasts worked hard on their matches and recorded what they just missed from the Keikos and analyze mistakes that they made. As a spectator of eyes, most busiest, and tiresome of moments with startling enjoyment.

Some of them wore the gray windbreaker on are the representative of the ECUSKF(East Central US Kendo Federation, Pres. Kamata Sensei) players who practicing every moments for preparation of the upcoming the National Kendo Championship on July at the Las Vegas. Fast, accurate, and dashing fast attack against opponent to get certain attacking basic points(Men, Kote, Do), in Japanese. Many supporters for their children and spouses who practice the Kendo are cheering noticeably and sighing with holding breath.

Kendo is the one of the significantly charming marshal arts. However, it is a big commitment for the doing the mind, the body, and a great spirit for self-defense philosophy. Under the uncertainty of era we live in, and we must have at least one thing for self-defense technic for sustaining, surviving, and supporting others who are in danger for help. Some of kendo practitioners give their dojos tremendous help for obtaining place, and sustaining dojo with supporting monetary fund too.

Across from the ocean, far from their countries, still arises we are like we missed some points at  Keikos earlier, and prepare for the next run with resilience we are building from the mistakes as to be like life lesson. Obviously, the city is fully waked up by the people in the spring, and we see smiles and hear voices at the lobby of the hotel. Many historical churches are ringing bells, and  the pipe organ hits the dome of the St. Paul Catholich church. The sojourner from the state of Virginia prayed for safe return home.
