Quarantined in Yokohama south of Tokyo, 10 more people have tested positive for Coronavirus. 3,700 people are facing at least two weeks of quarantine on the Diamond Princess ship as those confirmed positive have been moved to medical facilities. Currently, Japan’s coronavirus-positive population is at 45.
Many on the ship are frustrated at the lack of food availability (among many other difficulties), slow responses, and of course, being infected by the coronavirus. Japan officials are concerned that the outbreak is likely to affect the 2020 Olympic Games in July.
As the death toll rises to 563 in China, the world keeps a close eye on the virus and in preventing its spread in an ever-connected world.
