D.C. Metro was delayed due to stabbing incidents that occurred around 3:18 p.m. at the Metro Center station on the 1200 block of G Street NW Tuesday. According to FOX5 news, When officers arrived at the station, a male victim was found unconscious and not breathing, and a female victim was hurt but with a non-life-threatening injury.
The two victims were transported to the local hospital for treatment. The Metro officials are warning evening commuters that Red Line trains are currently single tracking between Judiciary Square and Farragut North stations, and bypassing Metro Center due to the police investigation of the incident.
About the Red Line delay, the Twitter account of Metrorail Info stated that ” Glenmont bound trains bypassing Metro Center due to police investigation. Exit at Gallery Place for Shady Grove trains for svc to Metro Ctr.” Police are asking the public help to look out for a Black Male wearing black shoes, a dark blue short sleeve shirt, and blue jeans. He was last seen carrying a green bag, according to FOX5 news.

The suspect was arrested by the D.C. Police on Wednesday. The Metro Transit Police Department announced Wednesday that Antownne Turner, 51, of Northeast was arrested in connection with the incident.
