Finally, It is snowing in Northern California, especially in Lake Tahoe areas now with three significant avalanches warned from the first day of December to the following Monday. According to the U.S. National Weather Service, Tonight will be at 7 degrees Fahrenheit. They are currently expecting 10-15 inches of snow by Thursday night, and it will start Saturday again around 1 PM with an expected 2-3 feet of accumulation.
I-80 and 50 are the most impacted by this weather and the surface of roads is ice accumulated. Roads were closed in both ways. With historically low water reservoir levels in California and Nevada, and will be stored in the lakes or valleys most likely with this winter storm.
