On January 9, WBIS hosted a workshop for local business women, explaining how dreams become truth. Women from all different professions came to take notes, discuss their visions, and learned how to make these visions into goals at the Hyatt at Fairlakes.
Doreen Brayboy, owner of “3D Firber Lashes,” introduced her business and explained the uniqueness and the importance of her beauty product company, as beauty becomes ever more important among women.
Misha Hoye, professional consultant, explained and gave tips on building an entrepreneurship.
Linda Wheeler of Keller Williams Realty promoted her seminar, “The Millionaire Real Estate Investor,” which will take place on January 17, from 10-11 A.M., at the Keller William Metro Center (8133 Leesburg Pike, Suite 800, Vienna, VA 22182). Those interested may RSVP at liz.s.fried@gmail.com.
WBIS presented 10 lifetime goals for women, and how to manage them. These goals were as diverse as every day goals like health and wellness, to long term goals, such as financial and business growth.
For anyone interested in pursuing a political career, WBIS plans to hold an event called “Stepping Up to the Plate,” supported by Virginia Leadership Institute. The event will showcase women politicians of Northern Virginia, such as Catherine Read (Creative Read Inc), Krysta Jones (Founder, Virginia Leadership Institute), Grace Han Wolf (Herndon Town Council Member & Commissioner VA Commission of the Arts), Kristie Arslan (Executive Director of WIPP-Women Impacting Public Policy), Sheila Dixon (Founder, WBIS).
