The U.S.-made Abrams tanks and The German-made Leopard tanks are going ahead to Ukraine and other countries including Poland. Poland had already requested Berlin for permission to export its own Leopard tanks to Ukraine. According to CBS, the U.S. didn’t answer right away on the request for the tanks by president Zelenskyy, but last Thursday, Secretary of Defense for Policy Colin Kahl, said that “We’re not there yet,” justifying the reason as “The Abrams tank is a very complicated piece of equipment. It [is] expensive. It [is] hard to train on… it is not the easiest system to maintain.”
