The Greater Manassas Community Job Fair Attracts Huge Gathering of People – 코리일보

5월 31일, 매나사스 시에 위치한 루터란 처치에서 Job Fair 가 열렸다. 노던 버지니아 지역에서 국도 66번과 28번을 끼고 있는 도시로서 동과 서, 남과 북을 연결시켜주는 매나사스 지역에서 열린 이번 Job Fair는 레스토랑, 학교시스템, 경찰서, 건설업, 대리석 제조업체등 54개 업체가 참여했다. 오후 1시부터 열린 이번 Job Fair 에는 행사장인 교회 주차장이 행사가 시작하자마자 이미 모든 차량들이 주차장을 가득메워 행사장에 차를 세울 수 없어 건너편 다른 빌딩의 주차장에 차를 주차하고 이력서를 든 채 행사장으로 향하는 많은 구직자들을 볼 수있었다. 직접 이력서를 제출하고 간단한 면접까지 볼 수 있는 이번 Job Fair 에는 갓 고등학교를 졸업한 청년들부터 5.60 대 중년층들도 있었다.

Reliant Hiring Solutions 이 주관한 이번 Job Fair 는 파트타임을 비롯하여 풀타임 직업과 일정기간 교육을 받으면 수료증을 받은 후, 물리치료센터에서 일을 하거나, 자기 비즈네스를 할 수 있는 마사지 테라피 교육 시스템(American Massage & Bodywork Institute)도 있었다. 은퇴후 독거 노인들이 건강을 잃게되어 도움이 필요할 때 직접 집으로 방문하여 도움을 주는 프로그램도 있었다.
