He was climbing to the top of the Sphere, which is currently known as one of the newest attractions.

On the account of X of the Las Vegas Police Department, “24-year-old Maison Des Champs was arrested today for climbing a structure in the 200 block of Sands Ave. He was booked into the Clark County Detention Center and charged with Destroying Property of Another Greater than $5000 and Conspiracy to Destroy Private Property.”

According to his Instagram page, Des Champs is known for climbing skyscrapers and buildings to raise money for women in crisis pregnancies. His Instagram handle is “@pro-life.spiderman.”

According to FoxNews, LVMPD Sheriff Kevin McMahill addressed the incident during a press conference on Super Bowl safety, saying, “We know that people are going to test us. We know people are going to try things.”

“As we sit here today, there’s an individual – for a publicity stunt – climbing up to the top of the Sphere. Your first responders are all over there, taking care of it. We know these things are going to happen, and we’re going to deal with them as they come up and make sure we have the safest Super Bowl we’ve ever had,” McMahill said.
