During a press briefing, Pres. Trump was evacuated from the room by security on Monday, as the Secret Service confirmed an officer-involved shooting at 17th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW.  The White House is located at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

After a few minutes, the President returned, and the Secret Service officers confirmed that a male subject was detained and on his way to the hospital, with no entry into the White House.
