(updated 11:00 AM)
Around 2:30 pm in local time on Monday, a mass-shooting in South-Boulder, Colorado horrified the world. This event left 10 people dead and many injured. A suspect was injured but treated and in police custody.
Less than a week after the Atlanta shooting, Americans are fearing the uncertainty of safety in public space, even grocery stores.
The mass killer was arrested, but we still don’t know the motive. The first responder, a police officer, Eric Talley(51) died at the scene from gunshots being fired. He is survived by a wife and 7 children.
According to the Boulder Police Department, the victims of this massacre are Denny Stong(20), Neven Stanisic(23), Rikki Olds(25), Tralona Bartkowiak (49), Teri Leiker(51), Suzanne Fountain(59) Kevin Mahoney(61), Lynn Murray (62) and Jodi Waters(65).
The suspect is identified as Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa(21). “He was kind of scary to be around,” said Dayton Marvel, who graduated from Arvada West High School in 2018 and was on the wrestling team with Alissa. Alissa once had an outburst and threatened to kill people during an intra-team match, Marvel said.
