Fourth of July shooter in Chicago Bobby Crimo III charged with 7 counts of Murder

Robert E Crimo III (21) is the person of interest in the shooting of the Fourth of July parade at Highland Park in Chicago. He was charged with 7 counts of murder on Tuesday. The entire country was shocked by this mass shooting on one of the most important holidays of the nation. Most of the victims were residents of Highland Park. Crimo was arrested later in the day without any incident.

Crimo killed 7 people and injured dozens on Monday as people gathered to watch the Fourth of July parade. According to NBC, Crimo went up to a building next to the parade route and fired at the crowd more than 70 rounds below. Authorities stated on Tuesday that they believe Crimo planned ahead of weeks and work women’s clothing during the shooting to avoid detection.

He had created two different Youtube video accounts to post his planned shooting a few months earlier according to the authorities. Crimo, a Highland Park native, used a legally purchased high-powered rifle that is similar to an AR-15, authorities said.
