Facebook announced at least 50 million users have attacked by unknown hackers on Friday.
Mark Zuckerberg, The Chief Executive described the incident as a “really serious security issue” in a conference call with reporters.
“This is another sobering indicator that Congress needs to step up and take action to protect the privacy and security of social media users,” Democratic U.S. Senator Mark Warner (Vice Chair of the Senate Democratic Caucus and the Vice Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee) said in a statement.
If there were something at the user’s profile changed without the user knowing, or if users want to log into their accounts some how it won’t let them do it then it must be hacked was what Facebook said earlier today.

Facebook said the problems were fixed by the firm in Ireland, but the firm said, “Facebook was unable to clarify the nature of the breach and risk to users,” In 2008, 80 million Facebook user’s DOB were hacked, and in 2013, user’s email address and phone numbers were stolen by unknown hackers.
Last year, “view as” option led to unknown hackers accessing 40 million user’s information and this year, 50 million user’s accounts are at risk, especially before “Midterm Election”. Hackers gained access to Facebook’s system through a new “view as” feature on the website that allows people to view their profile as another user according to WSJ.
