Drinking Olive Oil Reduce the risk of Blood-related disease and cognitive Decline

Many studies of food oils have come to our food table, especially olive oil, proud to be at the top among other food oils. Since olive oil has been on the Mediterranean food table for longer than 2,000 years, the people where olive trees are grown are more relaxed and happy-faced people when we visit its countries, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, etc.

Olive oil consumption has increased after much scientific research was released on the health effects that many Americans have with their health problems; blood pressure, cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, dementia, and cardiovascular diseases.

According to the Washington Post, “Olive oil to lowered blood pressure, LDL cholesterol (called ‘bad’ cholesterol): caused inflammation and increased HDL cholesterol (called ‘good’ cholesterol): reduced risk of Type 2 diabetes and cognitive decline.

In the research on the Jama, the study of consumption of olive oil, “ a prospective cohort study of 92 383 adults observed over 28 years, the consumption of more than 7 g/d of olive oil was associated with a 28% lower risk of dementia-related death compared with never or rarely consuming olive oil, irrespective of diet quality.”

However, olive oil has many good health benefits still take the best quality of olive oil is the key factor. There are different grades of olive oil based on their aroma, flavor, and chemical makeup. Extra virgin olive oil(EVOO), is the highest grade and has to pass the special chemical test, and cold pressed without any chemicals or heat involved during the processing.  According to, some of the EVOOs have different tastes between fruity and nutty flavors. The EVOOs have polyphenols which are called antioxidants that can fight damaged cells. EVOOs are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats.
