According to the SFGATE, “ A federal appeals court halted Wednesday’s scheduled execution of a Texas prisoner who defense attorneys argue is too delusional to be put to death.”
The inmate, Scott Panetti is mentally ill and he don’t know why he got a capital punishment that is his lawyer argued about.
He won his trial at the end.
The reason why he won of his appeals  filed with the U. S. Supreme Court, that has said mentally ill people can’t be executed if they don’t know factual and rational understanding of why they’re being punished.
Panetti was scheduled to death on Dec.5, 2014 Wednesday  for fatally shooting his estranged wife’s parents 22 years ago.
