On February 2, 2020, led by Patrick Mahome, Kansas City Chiefs pulled a miracle in the last quarter, after trailing behind 3 points, to surpassing San Francisco 49ers by 11 points.

Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV, 31-20. Mahome posted a video on Instagram, showing the celebration, and lifted the Lombardi Trophy to end the video. He was selected as the MVP for the evening.

In a brief interview, he remarked that although he could have chosen to be a baseball player, he ultimately chose football, and how anyone, regardless of racial background, could achieve their dreams.

In a country filled with tensions of every group imaginable, he represented a brief respite from the drama of the political sphere for the night, and allowed everyone to dream.
