On Thursday, Rep. Katie Porter (California -D)questioned Dr. Robert Redfield, the director of CDC, as to whether he would promise everyone concerned with being infected with the coronavirus, based on the expensive cost of obtaining such service in the present.
During a House Oversight Committee hearing, the representative requested the director for a “Yes or No” answer on whether the CDC would provide every American with a free test for coronavirus. After providing legalese for a while, the director finally said, “Yes.”
It is not yet clear when the CDC will begin implementing this policy, but as the pandemic wave continues, the CDC will be expected to provide every American who wishes for a test, to receive one.
