On January 19, 2023, an announcement was made by a New Mexico prosecutor about Alec Baldwin (64): the movie star is to be charged with involuntary manslaughter as related to the gun shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins (44) in 2021.

Hutchins was killed and director Joel Souza was wounded by Baldwin’s gun which fired off a bullet during a rehearsal on October 21, 2021, during the filming of “Rust” set in place in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Balwin has said he believed the gun was not loaded with live rounds, and that he loved Hutchins as good staff. In the film world, guns should carry blanks and should not hurt anyone. New Mexico’s medical examiner has announced that the shooting was an accident.

As an agreement, Hutchins’ husband will be the executive director of the movie, and it will be resumed soon.
