On June 5, The Office of Personnel Management said about 4 million current and former ferderal employees may have been hacked.

The OPM alert to the all the possible affected employees should be vigilant in looking for unusual signs on their credit reports; affected employees will be notified on Monday.

The OPM said  in a statement, the affected employees’ personal information could be used to open credit card accounts, obtain credit, or purchase goods. Anyone who notices unidentified/uncommitted credit card accounts should inform TransUnion at 1-800-680-7289 and the TransUnion will notify to the other 2 credit bereaus on your behalf.

The OPM( Office of Personnel Management) 에 따르면 4백만명의 모든 연방 공무원들이 이번 해킹으로 영향을 받게 될 것으로 보고 있다고 말하며, 정부관계자의 해킹보호 시스템인 아인스테인을 가동한 결과 수 많은 연방 정부 직원들의 신상이 털린 것으로 밝혀졌다.

FBI는 현재 정확한 해킹 경로와 함께 진상 파악에 들어갔다.
