In Center City Philadelphia,  a Christmas gift was delivered on the Market Frankford Line subway headed to 15th and Market Street station around 6 PM. Passerbys alerted officer Darrell James and Sergeant Caban of a woman giving birth on the train. They rushed down to the train car to see the “miracle of life”

“We didn’t have time to even worry,” Caban said, according to The Inquirer.

As soon as we got there, I could see the baby’s head coming through her sweatpants, and we just went right to work,” Caban tells KYW Newsradio.

The mother and the baby boy were transferred to the Hahnemann University Hospital for further evaluations and they are both in good condition.

The officer and the sergeant both visited the new mother and the child, and was told the baby would be named Chris, after Christmas.
