The Metropolitan Police Department asks for the public’s help in a robbery incident that happened in Northwest D.C. on Monday, and as to the suspect’s whereabouts on its Twitter account today. Detectives say the robbery occurred around 2:19 p.m. on 15th Street Northwest, near P Street NW and a Whole Foods Market. The Victim communicated with the suspect and agreed to meet at the location through the Facebook Marketplace online.
When the victim met with the suspect, the suspect snatched money from the victim and left the area, and there is no detailed information released about this incident by the MPD. The MPD released images of the suspects through the surveillance photos to ask for public help to start the investigation process.
The broad daylight robbery incident brings attention to many people who used the Facebook Marketplace to trade and sell or buy, as well as the dangers of using the platform.
