US to Raise Minimum Smoking Age to 21

Americans under the age of 21 will no longer be allowed to obtain tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and vaping cartridges. Introduced in May 2019 by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky and Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, the bill obtained bipartisan support. As part of a $1.4 trillion spending package signed by President Trump on December 20, the FDA will have 6 months to implement the new law.
