Pres Trump Finally Endorses Face Masks

On Wednesday, Pres. Trump declared that “masks are good”, after months of resisting to wear one or promote them, and finally decided to publicly endorse wearing face masks as COVID-19 rages on.

He refused to make it a mandate, as he claimed that in many places, Americans simply were not close enough to need one.

Due to the relaxed stance on social distancing, masks, and reopening, the US is seeing record high infection rates and a much longer pandemic than initially predicted.

He also said, “if I were in a group of people where we’re not 10 feet away, …” He would have worn a mask, but clarified that he didn’t wear masks because everyone around him were “tested.”

Pres. Trump even went as far to say that he’d tried a mask on and liked the way it looked.

Some people wonder if it’s a little too late, as some states in the light of recent coronavirus outbreak, have closed back down, such as in Texas or California. Nonetheless, it is now official: even the President endorses wearing face masks in public.
