Garrett Rolfe FMR Atlanta police officer charged with felony murder charge

In the midst of exploding rage from whole nation due to unjust killing by police officers, more bad news arrives from bad acts by police officers in Atlanta, GA.

According to The Washington Post, 1,002 people were shot and killed by police in 2019, and police killed 1,098 people in mappingpoliceviolence.org. According to this website, “Black people were 24% of those killed despite being only 13% of the population.”

Atlanta Police officer Garrett Rolfe shot and killed Rayshard Brooks at a Wendy’s parking lot last week and was charged with felony murder, while the other officer, Devin Brosnan was charged with aggravated assault, Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard announced Wednesday.

Officer Rolfe faces 11 charges for shooting Brooks 3 times, twice in the back.

After Rolfe shot Brooks, Rolfe said “I got him” and kicked him. Brosnan then stood on Brooks’ shoulder. Howard said.

They chose not to provide medical aid to Brooks for more than two minutes after Rolfe shot Brooks.

Brooks was at the line of the Wendy’s drive thru to get his order, he stopped at the line and slept. When polices came and knock his car window, and he woke up.

Police asked him to pull over his car to parking lot from the line performed a DUI test.

One of the officers tried to tie his hands, and Brooks took the officer’s teaser gun and used it to them and run away. The shooting happened right after, as revealed by police body cam.
